Export a list to CSV and upload it – the status comes from the file name.

JustWatch lists carry titles but no ratings, so we read the status off the file name: Seen becomes watched, Watchlist becomes your Watchlist. Ratings can be added afterwards, and they feed the community score other people see.
How to export your data
- Open your list (Watchlist / Seen) and export it to CSV.
- Rating-less lists go to Wishlist/Watched based on the file name.
What comes across
- Ratings on a single scale – five-star and percentage scores are converted to 1–10 automatically.
- Watch dates when the export has them – your diary by year rebuilds itself.
- Statuses: watched, watching and dropped, while «want to watch» lands in your Watchlist.
- Shows as per-season progress – one card instead of a pile of rows.
- Posters, synopses, genres, countries and runtimes are pulled from the catalog for you.
Worth knowing up front
- Nothing gets overwritten: whatever is already in your library is listed separately and never duplicated.
- Matching can be interrupted and resumed – progress is stored on your device, so a large library survives a screen going dark.
- Anything missing from the catalog still lands in your library as-is, and the list of misses can be downloaded as a file.
- Matches where the title or year disagreed are downloadable too, so you can check them calmly after the move.
Frequently asked
Is this free?
Yes. Both the import and the watch diary itself are free. There is no cap on library size: the largest export moved so far held eight thousand titles.
How long does it take?
A short list takes about a minute. A library of several thousand titles takes longer to match against the catalog, but you can stop and come back later: what was already resolved is not lost and is not fetched twice.
What happens to my shows?
A show stays one card, and watched episodes become per-season progress. Exports that write every single episode as its own row are recognised and folded back into progress instead of becoming hundreds of «films».
What if a title is not in the catalog?
It still lands in your library with its title, year and rating, just without a poster. That list can be downloaded, and you can run «Find posters» later: the catalog keeps growing and some titles are found on a second pass.
Can I import from several services?
Yes, the wizard can be run as many times as you like. Repeats are filtered out while parsing, and if something does slip through there is a separate duplicate cleanup in settings.
What happens to my data?
The export file is parsed right in your browser and never uploaded whole. Only the titles, ratings and dates you are moving reach the database.
Moving from another service?
Any CSV, TSV, JSON or XML with a title, year, rating and date will do – as will a plain list of names, one title per line.
